I am a human being who has personally felt the pain of heartbreak, loss, and grief. My personal experiences have helped grow within me a heart of compassion for others who are hurting, especially those who are desperately needing some hope.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have been a therapist for ten years. Prior to starting my own private practice, I provided therapy in a variety of settings (middle and high schools, living rooms, and a local community mental health center). It was my work as a domestic violence advocate that sparked my passion for helping women and teen girls. I got the privilege of supporting these incredibly strong women as they walked away from abusive relationships. They inspired me and it became increasingly clear that I wanted my life work to be centered upon supporting women of all ages. I have a heart for helping women find healing from anything that has brought pain to their hearts. Whether it has been a loss, heartbreak, a difficult transition or life adjustment, a painful medical diagnosis, past abuse, strained relationships with a loved one, or childhood wounds that still cause pain.
I know that painful seasons of life have a way of trying to steal our joy and making it harder to have hope. I believe that we often find healing and hope through others and that is exactly why I became a therapist. I want to provide a place for you to come to find hope and healing for those hurt places in your heart and soul.

I bring into my work my own personal experience and my professional training as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). First and foremost, I am a human being who has personally felt the pain of heartbreak, loss, and grief. My personal experiences have helped grow within me a heart of compassion for others who are hurting, especially those who are desperately needing some hope. When you meet with me you will be met with care and compassion. I will listen to understand so that you feel seen and heard, and in a way that you leave feeling more hopeful and expectant for better days ahead.
I am also passionate about incorporating holistic health into my treatment plans. I believe wellness and mental health care is comprised of taking care of your body, mind, and soul. I believe in collaboration, if necessary, working with doctors, psychiatrists, and other professionals. I’m big on advocating for your health and you can count on me to advocate on your behalf as well.
People often describe me as being personable, intentional, and also having a good balance between being serious and light-hearted. I believe humor is just as healing as tears. For this reason, we share a few good laughs together in therapy at times.
I incorporate an eclectic mix of treatment modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques.
I am Italian and come from a large family. Our family is so close that my grandparents, aunt and uncle, and cousins literally lived on the same street as one another. Sunday lunches consist of five course meals cooked by my grandmother. I've been surrounded by a never-ending supply of cousins, laughter, and delicious food. I love my Italian heritage so much that I am currently working on obtaining my Italian dual citizenship.
I love exploring and one of my biggest joys has been traveling the world. There's nothing like going to a new place, meeting the locals, and trying new foods. Some of the best memories of my life have come through travel: Ziplining in the Costa Rica rainforests, seeing the Northern Lights in Norway, trekking the Great Wall of China, climbing Machu Picchu in Peru, or seeing the sunset in beautiful Santorini. I've been to over 30 countries, and although it is impossible to pick a favorite place, somehow I always find an excuse to return to Italy. Italy is always a great idea!
My path to motherhood did not quite look like how I envisioned it would. I got married a little later in life, and when my husband and I decided to grow our family we were given the unexpected diagnosis of infertility. After years of pursuing fertility testing and treatments, and a pregnancy loss, I became a mother through the beautiful gift of adoption. We named her Evelyn Faith. Her name means "light and life," because she has brought life and light back into our lives after infertility and loss. And it took many steps of faith to lead us to her.
